London, England, United Kingdom (4E) – Actress Lindsay Lohan has reportedly resorted to hypnotherapy to help her quit her smoking habit before for her West End theatre debut later this month.
Lohan, who has begun rehearsals for a play by David Mamet called “Speed-the-Plow,” wants to quit before the play is staged. According to Britain’s The Sun newspaper, a source said, “Lindsay knows that all eyes will be on her and she’s worried that if she really starts to crave nicotine when on stage, it’ll put her off,” the newspaper quoted.
“Some people may not believe in the powers of hypnosis or think it’s all about swinging a watch about, but Lindsay is willing to try anything to make sure she’s a hit,” the source continued.
Lohan is said to have been a smoker for years and has tried to quit on several occasions but often failed. Last year, the actress went back to rehab for the sixth time. She told Oprah Winfrey that she was addicted to cocaine then.
