Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Female celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence, Victoria Justice, Mary E. Winestead and more have been victims of smartphone-hacking, having their private photos published on the Internet, and on Sunday, the celebs and their representatives spoke out about the matter.

The unknown hacker claimed to have over 60 nude photos of Lawrence. The “Hunger Games” actress did not deny the issue, but said in a statement, “This is a flagrant violation of privacy. The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence.”

Aside from Lawrence, Winestead and Justice, Ariana Grande, Kate Upton, Kirsten Dunst, Teresa Palmer, Kristen Ritter and Rihanna are said to have been victimized by the anonymous hacker as well. Some of the women have expressed their sentiments.

Ariana Grande’s representative told Just Jared that “[the pictures] are fake,” while Victoria Justice wrote on Twitter, “These so called nudes of me are FAKE people. Let me nip this in the bud right now. *pun intended*”

Actress Mary E. Winestead wrote, “To those of you looking at photos I took with my husband years ago in the privacy of our home, hope you feel great about yourselves.” She continued, “Knowing those photos were deleted long ago, I can only imagine the creepy effort that went into this. Feeling for everyone who got hacked.” She then announced that she is going on an “internet break.”

Meanwhile, celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton, who was one to publish uncensored versions of some of the alleged photos, woke up to backlash from netizens all over, and decided to take action.

On Twitter, he said, “I haven’t been forced to do so or been contacted by their reps, but I am removing those uncensored photos of JLaw and Victoria Justice.” He continued, “I acted in haste just to get the post up and didn’t really think things through. I’m sorry.” He also said that he “made a really bad one today and then made it worse,” and went on to say that he is taking down all the photos, even the censored ones.

Other female celebrities whose private photos have been previously leaked by hackers include, Vanessa Hudgens, Demi Lovato and Jeanette McCurdy. Even the Duchess of Cambridge Kate had topless photos leaked while she was on vacation with husband Prince William.
