Croatia still unscathed in FIBA World Cup after topping Argentina

Seville, Spain (4E Sports) – Following an overtime win over the Philippines, Croatia remained undefeated in Group B in handing Argentina its first loss, 90-85 Sunday.

Krunoslav Simon led Croatia shooting 50 percent from the field in scoring 18 points, together with four rebounds, one assist and two steals.

Dario Saric and Bojan Bogdanovic contributed 16 points each and combined for 16 rebounds for Croatia.

Indiana Pacers forward Luis Scola had a strong all-around game listing 30 points, nine rebounds, one assist and one block in a losing effort.

In Group C action, Dominican Republic bounced back from defeat by securing a victory against New Zealand, 76-63.

NBA veteran Francisco Garcia scored 29 points with six rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks to lead Dominican Republic.

Jack Michael Martinez was the second-leading scorer following Garcia with 12 points.

Thomas Abercrombie and Kirk Penney tried to lift New Zealand with 22 points and 16 points respectively.

Meanwhile, South Korea is in a 0-2 slump after a blowout loss in Group D against Australia, 89-55.

Joe Ingles scored 17 points, three rebounds, two assists, and three steals for the the Aussies.

Aron Baynes and Cameron Bairstow chipped in 13 points apiece following Ingles.

Sunhyung Kim hit 6-10 from the field in netting 13 points, one rebound, and three assists for South Korea.
