Carlos Carrasco’s solid pitching powers Indians over White Sox

Chicago, IL, United States (4E Sports) – Carlos Carrasco (6-4) struck out seven in 6 2/3 innings while giving up one run and four hits. to lead the Cleveland Indians over the Chicago White Sox, 3-2 Thursday at U.S. Cellular Field.

Michael Bourn tripled and scored on Jose Ramirez’s grounder in the first inning to give the Indians a 1-0 lead.

But White Sox rookie Jose Abreu’s single triggered an Adam Eaton run to tie the game at 1-all in the third.

In the sixth inning, Jose Ramirez advanced to third on a groundout and was plated by Jason Kipnis’ single to put the Indians up 2-1.

Michael Brantley’s RBI single in the seventh sent Roberto Perez home to make it a 3-1 Indians advantage.

The White Sox cut their deficit to 3-2 with Adam Dunn’s RBI single in the eighth against Cody Allen, who struck out the next four batters.

Alexei Ramirez had two hits for the White Sox, and John Danks (9-9) allowed two runs and five hits in six innings.
