Toronto, ON, United States (NewsBahn) – Yoenis Cespedes singled in Brock Holt in the 10th inning, lifting the Boston Red Sox to a 4-3 win over the Toronto Blue Jays Monday at Rogers Centre.
Mookie Betts and Dustin Pedroia cracked solo shots for the BoSox.
Clay Buchholz allowed just four hits and three runs over 8.1 innings. Koji Uehara picked up the win, thanks in part to Cespedes’ clutch hit.
J.A. Happ picked up the no decision for the Jays, allowing three runs over six frames. Aaron Sanchez took the loss.
Edwin Encarnacion knocked in a pair of runs for the Blue Jays, who had just five hits.
