Hollywood, CA, United States (4E) – Chris Evans, most known for playing Steve Rogers/Captain America calls out his Captain America co-stars Sebastian Stan, who plays The Winter Soldier and Anthony Mackie, who plays Falcon to take on the ALS ice bucket challenge.
The initiative, which began a couple of weeks ago has gone viral and managed to engage celebrities, musicians, models and actors to take part in this global effort to bring awareness and raise funds for Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Last week, Evans nominates his co-stars from two of his most recent films—Captain America: The Winter Soldiers and fellow actors from his independent dystopian action flick, Snowpiercer.
For their ALS ice bucket challenge, Mackie, 35, and Stan, 32, upped the entertainment ante by combining ham acting and puppetry, in what proves to be one of the cutest attempts at completing the challenge.
Stan nominates Michael Peña while Mackie calls out Ben Walker. Both add a Twitter follower into the mix—”…and to make it really real, we went on Twitter, and we got @jenniferkontax, and we nominate her as well.”
The co-stars of Captain America completed the challenge while attending the 2014 Wizard World Chicago Comic Con, held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Chicago, Illinois. At the event, where they sat down for an exclusive fan Q&A, the duo talked about their characters and revealed tidbits about the upcoming third installment of the very successful Captain America franchise.
