St.Louis, MO, United States (4E Sports) – The St. Louis Rams will miss quarterback Sam Bradford for the season due to a torn left ACL suffered in Saturday’s preseason game against the Cleveland Browns.
The injury occurred due to contact with Browns’ Armonty Bryant that had Bradford falling to the ground in pain and limping off the field.
“This was just kind of a hyperextension with the impact coming from the outside. The knee was locked and something has to give. Unfortunately the ACL gave,” said coach Jeff Fisher.
It is the same injury suffered against Carolina on Oct. 20, 2013 that sidelined Bradford.
According to Fisher, veteran Shaun Hill will take Bradford’s place and that they will not rush to make a trade.
“There’s going to be some quarterbacks that are getting released and there may or may not be some quarterbacks that have trade value,” Fisher noted.
