Hollywood, CA, United States (4E) – We all know that Floyd Mayweather is one of the richest athletes in the world and he has reminded Twitterverse about it over the weekend. Mayweather might be having a difficult time reading but he is filthy rich. Mayweather has posted a photo of his paycheck on his Twitter account with regards to 50 Cent’s challenge.
Last week, 50 Cent videoed himself challenging the athlete to read a whole page in one of the Harry Potter books without stuttering. 50 said that if Mayweather will do it and show proof, he would be donating US$ 750,000 to any charity that Mayweather would choose.
And so, Mayweather took it to Twitter to respond to 50′s attempt of humiliating him with this written: “Read this $72,276,000.00. God bless.” 50 then responded to the tweet with another explicit video which he captioned: “I guess you want people to see your math is better than your reading. Get a account Floyd, the people around you are using you.if you mad at me call me or come see me.”
The video which 50 posted seemed like he was really pissed how Mayweather responded to it. Money indeed talks. 50 used lots of vulgar and explicit words saying that Mayweather knows he has money. To watch the reaction of 50, click here: http://instagram.com/p/sDIf8CsL66/?modal=true.
Forbes released the list of the highest paid athletes in the world last June and Mayweather topped it. He is said to have earned more than US$105 million last year.
It isn’t just 50 who mocked his reading skills. A DJ from Power 105 whose screen name is Charlmagne Tha God has also mocked the boxer on air. He even went as far as playing an audio clip of Mayweather where he was heard reading a drop for an advertisment when he visited the radio station last year. Charlamgne was no holds bar during the whole time he was talking about Mayweather to the extent that his co- hosts called what he did as mean and disrespectful. Mayweather has expressed himself about his inability to read back in 2007 when he was interviewed by the Daily News. He said that he had to take care of his mother which made him decide to quit school. He noted that was when he started boxing to earn money for their living expenses.
