Gerald S. Linsenbigler, 68, of Florida and formerly of Clearfield, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014 at his home. He was born Dec. 23, 1945, the son of Arnold L. and Rebecca N. (Carr) Linsenbigler.
Mr. Linsenbigler was a graduate of the Curwensville Area High School and the Clarion State College. He retired from the Curwensville Area School District as a teacher and athletic director.
He had also served as president of the Clearfield Little League Association.
Mr. Linsenbigler is survived by his mother, Rebecca of Clearfield; two sons, Mark Linsenbigler and his wife, Wendy of State College and Corey Linsenbigler and his wife, Marla of Curwensville; and two step-daughters, Tammy and Heather, both of Clearfield.
He is also survived by two grandchildren, Curtis and Erica Linsenbigler; two step-grandchildren, Allison and Tyler; a great-grandson, Emmet; a sister, Barbara L. Linsenbigler of Clearfield; and a brother, David A. Linsenbigler of Curwensville.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Honoring Mr. Linsenbigler’s wishes, there will be no public viewing. A memorial service celebrating his life will be announced at a later date.
