Los Angeles, CA., United States (4E) – Singer Trisha Yearwood, after a seven-year hiatus, is all set to release a new album, she announced at a press event in Nashville on Tuesday.

This will be her 12th studio album, titled “Prize Fighter,” under Sony Music Nashville. Her husband Garth Brooks, is also part of the upcoming project. She will also launch her won recording company, Gwendolyn Records.

Yearwood told Billboard, “It’s been a wonderful few years. I haven’t released records, but I’ve been so busy and I’ve loved the whole second career. The cookbooks and the TV show and everything is doing just great, but it’s kind of forced [music] to take a backseat. It just makes sense now that we have this tour in place and we’re getting ready to go back out on the road that there is new music, so I’m excited.”

Aside from music, her culinary pursuits are aslo soaring as Yearwood is also working on the newest season of her Food Network show “Trisha’s Southern Kitchen,” a kitchen line, and her third cookbook, which is to be released next spring.

Meanwhile, the 49-year-old performer is joining Brooks for sold-out performances starting this fall.
