Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Late actor Robin Williams is all set to be honored at the 2014 Emmy Awards next week, with Billy Crystal leading the tribute, the body announced on Tuesday.

“We felt we needed to do something powerful and memorable. Billy seemed like the perfect choice,” show producer Don Mischer confirmed.

Plans for a memorial surfaced last week, with Mischer saying, “Plans for the In Memoriam segment are in discussion. While we are all still coming to terms with this week’s tragic news, we are working to give Robin Williams the proper and meaningful remembrance he so well deserves.”

Meanwhile, Crystal, who has not spoken about his long time colleague’s passing, has wrote on Twitter, “No words.”

Williams, 63, was found lifeless in his North California house on August 11 due to asphyxiation after committing suicide by hanging.

The 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be held on August 25 with a live telecast on NBC at 8 p.m. ET.
