New York, NY, United States (4E) – Emma Stone, the 25-year-old actress best known for her role as Gwen Stacy in the latest Spider-Man reboot, will make her Broadway debut as she stars in Cabaret.
This much anticipated confirmation comes just a week after news about Stone’s negotiations to join the musical.
With a string of hit romantic comedies under her belt, including a supporting role in Crazy, Stupid, Love alongside Ryan Gosling, and a lead role in cult teen comedies such as Easy A and The House Bunny, Stone now exercises her singing and acting chops as she takes on the role of Sally Bowles.
The Broadway musical is produced by the Roundabout Theatre Company, with Stone set to star in the iconic role of Sally Bowles beginning November 11, until the end of its two month run by February 2015.
The role of Sally Bowles is currently being played by Michelle Williams who leaves the cast by November 9.
