Video Game Review: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

San Jose, CA, United States (4E) – Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is on its way to stun you with the futuristic combat techniques and innovative weaponry. As this first-person military science fiction game is still a few months away from its release, let me give you a brief overview of it.

Movements and Capabilities

This latest episode of CoD features all-new exoskeleton abilities with a number of new moves and capabilities. You will be able to slam, slide, dash, dodge, boost jump and perform many other actions. The developers have promised a great expansion of player movements, perks, abilities and mechanics to easily execute defensive, offensive or evasive strategies.

Personalization of Character

In Advanced Warfare, you can personalize in-game character from head to toe with exciting new appearance features. Make your soldier look distinctive with whole new set of shirts, kits, vests, gloves, eyewear, knee-guards, helmets and boots. The game also introduces Supply Drops, which is a whole new reward system that also helps you create a unique character.

Multiplayer Gameplay

The Advanced Warfare story arc will debut with 12 multiplayer modes. Most of these are reintroduced from the previous chapters including Search and Destroy, Domination, Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint and all-times favorite Capture the Flag. Apart from these, Advanced Warfare brings two brand new modes – Momentum and Uplink.

Weapon Technology

Advanced Warfare brings new weapon class with over 350 custom weapons. Most of the weapons that are derived from the past stories are technologically tweaked for player’s convenience and high impact. Besides that, some new and revolutionary technologies like directed energy weapons are also introduced.
