Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Savannah Guthrie and her husband, Mike Feldman welcomed their irst child, a daughter, on Wednesday, the Today show host herself announced.
Shortly before giving birth, Guthrie tweeted, “My 3am wake up call sounds a lot different now. Sweeter…”
Today co-anchor Matt Lauer was one of the first people to congratulate the couple’s new bundle of joy. He tweeted, “Vale Guthrie Feldman is here! Savannah and Mike have a beautiful (and smart!) little girl! So much joy and excitement. We love her already!”
The baby girl measured 19.5 inches long and weighed 8 lbs. 5 oz. at birth. According to the new mom, Vale has “blue eyes, a little bit of blondish hair and the chubbiest cheeks you’ve ever seen.”
Following her official announcement on Today, Guthrie tweeted, “Every new parent must want to shout their happy news to the world. So lucky we got to do it on @TODAYshow! We are bursting with joy. #Vale”
Guthrie, 42, and long-time boyfriend Feldman, 45, tied the knot in March and announced she was four months along shortly after.
