NY, United States (4E) – American rapper, songwriter, and actress Nicki Minaj is being sued by Cahuenga, Inc. for breach of contract.
The “Anaconda” rapper, according to Cahuenga Inc., received $53,050 to host part of NBA All-Star Weekend.
Cahuenga Inc., on behalf of production company IMP Entertainment, claimed that the female rapper was paid to appear and perform at Hollywood’s Siren Studios on February of 2011 for the NBA ALL-Star Weekend from midnight until 1 in the morning. However, the former “American Idol” judge arrived an hour and a half late, and “left the event before 2:00 a.m,” staying only for 30 minutes.
Minaj was said to have suddenly left in the middle of singing “Roman’s Revenge.”
The lawsuit was filed in New York Supreme Court on Thursday, with a demand that the singer reimburse the big bucks she received, “plus lost revenues, including but not limited to, refund claims and lost sales,” according to Cahuenga Inc..
No response yet from Minaj’s spokesperson.
