STATE COLLEGE – Gannett Fleming’s State College office has been honored with a 2014 Silver Award in recognition of its outstanding support of the Centre County United Way (CCUW).
Awarded to firms whose employee giving reaches an annual benchmark set by the United Way, the Silver Award was presented to the office staff on July 2. The donations of the eight employees based in the State College office exceeded the 2013 benchmark by nearly three times.
“It’s part of the culture of Gannett Fleming to give back to our communities,” said Mark J. Garlicki, P.E., regional office manager. “I’m thrilled to see our staff participating in Gannett Fleming’s long-standing effort to support the United Way.”
Gannett Fleming’s corporate-wide 2013 United Way campaign raised $266,599. The firm offers many fun and engaging ways for employees to donate toward the campaign in addition to the payroll deduction option. Sandwich sales, yard sales, pre-owned book sales, raffles and a cutest pet contest are just some options employees have for participation in the annual campaign.
Teaming with 39 partner agencies, the mission of the CCUW is to improve lives by prioritizing needs and mobilizing human and financial resources to positively impact the education, financial stability, and physical and emotional health of area residents.
