Zack Cozart knocks in four runs as Reds topple Tribe

Cincinatti, OH, United States (4E Sports) – Zack Cozart blasted a three-run homer in the second inning to set the tone as the Cincinatti Reds walloped the Cleveland Indians, 8-3 Wednesday at Great American Ball Park.

Kristopher Negron added a two-run shot in the forth inning for a 5-0 Reds lead.

Cozart ignited another run with an RBI single against Scott Atchison in the seventh. This was followed by Todd Frazier’s two-run double as the Reds took a commanding 8-0 lead entering the eight inning.

Yan Gomes homered and Ryan Raburn had a two-run double to cut the Reds lead to 8-3.

Reds starter Mat Latos (4-3), who gave up six hits and three runs with two walks and five strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings, pitched shutout ball into the eighth inning and had a hit.

Latos allowed just one runner past second base before Yan Gomes triggered three runs for the Indians in the eighth.

Reds starter Danny Salazar (4-5) allowed five hits and five runs with five strikeouts over four innings.
