Landon Donovan nets winning goal as MLS All-Stars stun Bayern Munich

Portland, OR, United States (4E Sports) – Landon Donovan netted the game-winning goal for the MLS All-Stars in edgng Bayern Munich, 2-1 Wednesday at Providence Park in the 2014 AT&T MLS All-Star Game.

Bayern took the lead in the eighth minute after Robert Lewandowski out-hustled Aurelien Collin before drilling a right-footed shot past Real Salt Lake veteran goalkeeper Nick Rimando.

Bradley Wright-Phillips took a long ball from Bobby Boswell that he knocked past Bayern starter Tom Starke to tie the match in the 51st minute.

Donovan got behind the defense on a long feed from hometown star Diego Valeri from the right wing and shucked Bayern defender Rafinha before slotting a shot past Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer in the 70th minute.
