Houston, TX, United States (4E) – Ben Caballero, broker-owner of HomesUSA.com Inc. in Texas, is the 2014 Wall Street Journal and REAL Trends America’s Best Real Estate Agent with 2,095 home sales worth $737 million in 2013.
Caballero ranked No. 1 in two categories of the latest edition of the annual survey: number of home sales and transaction volume or value of properties sold.
The recognition was his fourth consecutive. In 2012, he completed 2,267 deals. Between 2010 and 2013, he had 8,467 home sales representing $2.557 billion in volume.
For the last four years, Caballero also has been the top agent in Houston with 402 home sales in 2013. Between 2010 and 2013, he had 1,538 local area home sales.
Caballero was named Most Innovative Real Estate Agent by Inman News in 2013. A lifelong REALTOR® and former homebuilder, he has been a real estate broker since age 21.
How did Caballero stay on top of the real estate game? He and his company uses a self-developed computer system that allows him and his employees to quickly take listings from nine homebuilders he works with and put them in local multiple listing services and send them to other sites like Zillow, Trulia and realtor.com, according to Inman.com. Homebuilders pay Caballero and Addison, Texas-based HomesUSA.com Inc. a flat fee per listing, and all leads are forwarded directly to the homebuilders.
The software, whose patent is pending, provides accuracy and convenience to customers. It lends credibility to other sites offering similar service such as Nestbuilder Agent of RealBiz Media Group’s (OTC: RBIZ). Nestbuilder Agent is a video microsite program that allows brokers to automatically create property videos from data listings and photos.
Available in Nestbuilder.com, Nestbuilder Agent is complemented by RealBiz’s virtual tour program that can be developed using HTML5 language to be accessible via mobile devices. Through virtual tours or interactive video, customers can see and explore and accurate representation of the house of building online.
The Wall Street Journal and REAL Trends America’s Best Real Estate Agents done in partnership with real estate platform Trulia also saw Brian Bair of Liberty Properties and Associates/Realty 360 ranked No. 1 in Arizona in terms of number of sale with 868 sales and ranked second in terms of transaction volume with $161 million. Walt Danley of Walt Danley Realty ranked first by transaction volume selling $167 million worth of properties.
In Michigan, Jeahad Kadaf of RE/MAX Leading Edge was the top agent in sales with 658 while Lynne VanDeventer was No. 1 in terms of volume with $67 million.
In Illinois, Rosario Terracciano of Resurrecting Real Estate sold the most number of homes at 642 while Jennifer Ames of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage/NRT had the largest transaction volume of $144 million.
North Carolina agent Jason Benham of Benham Real Estate Group ranked No. 1 in number of home sales and transaction with 566 sales worth $57 million.
More than 9,500 real estate agents from every state qualified to be included in the list for closing at least 50 or $20 million worth of transactions. The industry average per agent is seven transactions. Agents who made it to the list will receive additional exposure on Trulia to assist their efforts in building their personal brand and growing their businesses.
