Houston, TX, United States (4E) – Marilyn Burns, the actress who played Sally Hardesty in the 1964 thriller “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” died Tuesday at the age of 65.
The actress’ representative said that Burns was found “unresponsive” in her home in Texas by a family member, and her cause of death is yet to be determined upon autopsy.
“Her family asks for privacy at this time,” the representative continued. “Further details will be released later.”
Aside from acting in the iconic film, Burns also appeared in a few thrillers such as “Eaten Alive” and the television miniseries “Helter Skelter” in the 70s.
The University of Texas alum also made cameos in the 1994 and 2003 reboots of the “Texas Chainsaw Massacre.”
