PennDOT Advises of Lane Restriction on Route 26 on Thursday Morning

STATE COLLEGE – Motorists will encounter a lane restriction on Route 26 (Beaver Avenue) Thursday morning.

GN Associates will close the left lane of Beaver Avenue between Kelly Alley and Allen Street. The restriction is necessary to allow a crane to move equipment into place.

The closure will start at approximately 6:30 a.m. The lane will re-open before 12 p.m.

The sidewalk on the affected side of the street will also be closed.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting 511PA, which is free and available 24-hours-a-day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 700 traffic cameras.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts accessible on the 511PA Web site.
