Cleveland, OH, United States (NewsBahn) – Yan Gomes and Lonnie Chisenhall crushed home runs as the Cleveland Indians blasted their in-state rival Cincinnati Reds 7-1 Monday night at Progressive Field.

Corey Kluber tossed 7 1.3 innings of one-run ball while fanning seven batters to pick up the win.

Alfredo Simon allowed five runs over five frames for the Reds for the loss. Alarmingly, he tossed the same number of balls as he did strikes, with 35 apiece.

Jay Bruce and Devin Mesoraco each had two hits for the Reds, who fell to .500 at 56-56. Cincy collected just one extra-base hit, however, in Brayan Pena’s double.

The Indians improved to 57-55.
