Five Tribe pitchers combine to blank Rangers

Cleveland, OH, United States (4E Sports) – Five Cleveland Indians pitchers limited the Texas Rangers to five hits for a 2-0 win Saturday at Progressive Field.

Started T.J. House pitched five scoreless innings and struck out seven while allowing three hits.

Scott Atchison (4-0) pitched 1 2/3 innings and worked out of a two-on, no-out jam in the sixth.

In the ninth, J.P. Arencibia drew a leadoff walk and Leonys Martin singled against Cody Allen.

But Allen regrouped by striking out Jim Adduci before retiring Rougned Odor.

He then struck out Daniel Robertson to end the inning.

Lonnie Chisenhall looped a single into center field against Rangers starter Miles Mikolas (1-4) on the first pitch to put the Indians up, 1-0.

Then Nick Swisher lined a single to right for a two-run lead.

Nick Hagedone, who pitched the seventh, struck out Shin-Soo Choo before Brian Shaw took over in the eight.
