Astros rip Jays with six straight runs

Houston, TX, United States (4E Sports) – Chris Carter and Matt Dominguez each had two RBIs as the Houston Astros ripped the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-1 Sunday at Minute Maid Park.

Scott Feldman (5-8) scattered eight hits while retiring 17 of the last 19 batters, including nine straight.

The Jays took an early 1-0 lead with Ryan Goins’ RBI single in the second.

The Astros overtook the Jays in the third with Carter’s two-run single.

Dominguez and Marisnick hit RBI singles while Robbie Grossman drew a bases-loaded walk in a three-run fourth that put the Astros up 5-1.

Singleton’s fifth inning run after a sacrifice fly by Dominguez made it 6-1.

Marcus Stroman (7-3) allowed five runs on seven hits in three-plus innings.

Jose Reyes had three hits for the Jays.
