Las Vegas, NV, United States (4E Sports) – Mike Tyson said Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx will play him in the legendary boxer’s upcoming biography movie.
CGI animation technology will be used in the film, according to IGN Entertainment.
Foxx’s face will be assisted by CGI to represent a younger version of Iron Mike.
The technology used is the same as the effects in David Fincher’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
According to Tyson, the making of the film will last for about a year and 18 months.
“Me and Jamie Foxx are in discussion, and we gonna do it,” Tyson added.
Among those involved in the production are Foxx’s manager Rick Yorn, who will produce the film and Terence Winter, who will write the script.
The Oscar-winner already asked Tyson to help him prepare for the role.
Foxx also stated before that he had been with Tyson several times and wanted to portray him in the future.
The actor is no stranger in sports films, in 2001′s “Ali,” he played Muhammad Ali’s corner man Dwight “Bundini” Brown.
He also played quarterback Willie Beamen in Oliver Stone’s “Any Given Sunday” in 1999.
Foxx won the Oscar in his portrayal of Ray Charles in the film “Ray,” in 2004.
