Durham, NC, United States (4E Sports) – Former NBA star Grant Hill and wife Tamia made a $1.25 million donation Wednesday to the former’s alma mater, Duke University.
Of the amount, $250,000 will go to Annual Fund for the Trinity College of Arts and Sciences and the rest to upgrade Duke’s athletic facilities.
The university has raised $185 million out of the $250 million goal to enhance Duke’s athletic programs.
This is the second time that Hill and his wife have made a seven-figure contribution to Duke after a $1 million donation in 2000 to establish a scholarship fund for men’s basketball.
Hill helped Duke win back-to-back national titles in 1991 and 1992 before joining the NBA in 1994.
