Los Angeles, CA, United States (NewsBahn) – A nearly century old water main located above UCLA burst Monday afternoon, sending a flood of water through parking structures and athletic facilities at the college.
No rescues or injuries were reported in the incident as crews attempted to push water into storm drains, according to NBC-4.
While Royce Hall and Powell Library are located above the flooding, Pauley Pavilion, the site of the university’s basketball games, was dealing with a surge of water.
Tweets were sent out showing workers on equipment trying to remove the water off the gym floor.
Students took advantage of the pools of water, busting out rafts and floats as waterfalls were created on campus.
