Detroit, MI, United States (4E Sports) – Left wing Tomas Tatar and the Detroit Red Wings have agreed to terms on a new three-year contract with a reported average annual value of $2.75 million.
“Really excited to be a red wing for another 3 years. I can’t wait for new season,” Tatar said on his Twitter account.
The 23-year-old Tatar completed his first full NHL season in 2013-14 and ranked sixth on the Red Wings with 39 points (19 goals, 20 assists) in 73 games.
A second round pick (No. 60) by Detroit in the 2009 NHL Draft, Tatar has 24 goals and 23 assists in 100 games for the Red Wings.
Tatar also represented Slovakia at the 2014 Sochi Olympics, where he had one goal and one assist in four games.
