Minneapolis, MN, United States (4E Sports) – Chuck Knoblauch is facing legal issues again, after being accused by his ex-wife of assault in her Houston home.
Reports stated that Knoblauch was extremely intoxicated during the incident.
Cheri Lynn Knoblauch was reportedly sleeping when he entered the room and started screaming.
Knoblauch then allegedly grabbed her and tried to smash his ex-wife’s head to the wall and threw a humidifier at her.
Cheri Lynn had a large bruise on her left arm, a large scratch on the left side of her face and a raised knot on her forehead after the attack, according to police reports.
The former all-star was released from jail after posting a $10,000 bail.
This is not the first time Knoblauch was involved in a case against an ex-wife.
Four years ago, he was charged with domestic violence for reportedly hurting Stacey Stelmach, his wife at that time.
The Minnesota Twins cancelled Knoblauch’s induction into the team’s Hall of Fame due to the recent alleged assault.
Twins President Dave St. Peter said the organization will not reschedule the event in the near future.
St. Peter said he thought Knoblauch was trying to become a better family man.
“Obviously we need to see what transpires, but it’s disappointing, to say the least,” he added.
Knoblauch was the Rookie of the Year in 1991 and won four World Series championships, including one with the Twins and three with the New York Yankees.
