Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – The much awaited official trailer of the “Fifty Shades of Grey” film adaptation is finally out as part of it was shown in part for the first time on the Today show on Thursday morning.

Along with the release of the official trailer was a live interview with “Fifty Shades” stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, who play the role of Steele and Grey.

Johnson admitted that filling the shoes of Steele was “a little intimidating,” but it’s up to the fans to gauge for themselves.

Asked about their thoughts on shooting the more explicit scenes in the film, 24-year-old Johnson said, “It’s not a romantic situation. It’s more technical and choreographed and less…it’s more of a task.”

Dornan agreed, and expressed that besides their chemistry, having trust in each other is also important. He said, “We got ourselves into situations that don’t feel that sort of natural and they’re not that easy and you need to have the trust there.”

Earlier this week, singer Beyonce released a sneak peek, with her raspy voice heard in the background. True enough, she sang the trailer’s soundtrack, the song being a much slowed down and more dramatic version of her 2003 hit “Crazy in Love.”

Deemed too hot for television, the full trailer can be watched on the film’s official YouTube channel.

“Fifty Shades of Grey,” based on the novel written by E.L. James, is scheduled for release in theaters on February 13, 2015.
