New York, NY, United States (4E Sports) – Long-time star midfielder Frank Lampard has completed a move to join new MLS franchise New York City FC.
NYCFC begins playing in MLS in March 2015
Lampard, 36, spent 13 years at Chelsea, where he won the Premier League three times, the FA Cup four times and the Champions League in 2012.
The midfielder is the club’s all-time top scorer with 211 goals and has played 648 games at Stamford Bridge.
He also made 106 appearances for England in the World Cup.
Lampard’s unveiling is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at Pier 5 in Brooklyn Bridge Park.
