New Orleans, LA, United States (NewsBahn) – An 18-year-old man shot and killed Friday night in the New Orleans area had been missing for about two weeks before his death, authorities indicated Monday.

Anthony Woodberry, 18, had multiple gun shot wounds in the 1300 block of Bartholomew Street when he was found.

He was dead the next day from the injuries.

Authorities said he had been in Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office electronic monitoring program since May 12, though they recently had been unable to locate Woodberry.

A warrant had been issued for him four days before the shooting.

Woodberry had been in the program previously, according to police.
