Myrtle Beach, SC, United States (4E) – Former Destiny’s Child member Farrah Franklin has spoken out via social media on Monday after her arrest on Sunday in South Carolina for disorderly conduct.
According to TMZ, the singer was arrested when she was “found laying in a random person’s front yard and told cops she planned on sleeping in the woods.”
Franklin was booked at the Horry County Detention Center at 4:55 in the morning and was released at 12:16 on the same day, after posting $ 280 bail. She is due to return to court on August 7.
Following her release, Franklin posted, along with inspirational quotes, on Instagram, “That part! I’m good just hate the dumb media sometimes, but hey this is the job I signed up for. So I respect it #TurnDownForWhat #TeamFARRAH #GodsChild”
She followed it up with, “Unbothered and staying prayed up and, away from any negativity. #StillStanding #GodsChild Don’t judge what you don’t know. The sad thing is people LIVE for drama but run from the truth, Smh. There’s always 3 sides to a story your side, my side and the TRUTH! But the truth is normally not as interesting as a lie, lol.”
Franklin also took time to thank her supporters, saying, “Blessings during this messy time in my life it’s greatly appreciated.” She added the hashtags #TheNerveOfSomePeople #AllICanDoIDLaugh #OnlyGODCanJudgeMe and #MyLife.
The 33-year-old singer and actress was part of the all-female singing group Destiny’s Child for five months in 2000. Beyonce, Kelly Rowlands, and Michelle Williams went on as a trio until they parted ways in 2006.
