Cleveland, OH, United States (4E Sports) – Kyrie Irving said he is glad to have extended his deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers and join LeBron James.
The No. 1 pick in the 2011 draft finalized a five-year, $90 million extension with the Cavs a day before James’ announced his return.
“I’m glad we got it done,” Irving said. “A couple days later, a guy decided to come back to Cleveland. The rest is history.”
The Cavs also added the No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins, who is now part of the trade talks for Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star forward Kevin Love.
Mike Miller and James Jones also joined the rejuvenated Cavs in free agency.
