Gainesville, FL, United States (4E Sports) – Florida will miss the contributions of guard/forward DeVon Walker for the 2014-2015 season after the junior player torn his ACL.

Walker averaged 2.4 points and 1.2 rebounds per game last season while making 30.2 percent from beyond the arc.

He was expected to be a bigger part of the rotation and slated to be Florida’s sixth man this season.

According to CBS Sports, the 6-foot-6 junior was one of the team’s best perimeter defenders, swatting 13 shots in limited minutes.

Walker also brings experience and veteran smarts to the wing.

Florida reached the Final Four last season and is still a top program despite a number of suspensions and injuries.
