Notre Dame tops secondary market with most expensive football tickets

NY, NY, United States (4E Sports) – The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will enter the season with the highest price for college football tickets on the Top 25 secondary market, at around $252.25.

After a 9-4 finish last season, the Fighting Irish have high hopes entering the 2014 football season.

Eight of their games this season including match-ups against Michigan, Florida State, Louisville and USC will be televised by CBS and NBC.

According to Forbes, the team’s game against the Wolverines at the Notre Dame Stadium is the most expensive game this season.

The average ticket price for the game which will be held on September 6 is currently at $562.35 in the secondary market.

Defending national champions Florida State did not make it to the list of teams with most expensive tickets on the secondary market.

But its game against Notre Dame will have the most expensive ticket for the team this season at around $237.13.

This is 132.6% above the season average for Florida State.

Overall the SEC leads all conferences with eight schools in the Top 25 list. While the Big Ten has five schools included, this makes up 56% of the list.

The Big 12 and Pac-12 each have four schools on the list, according to Forbes.
