Panthers re-sign defenseman Dmitry Kulikov for three years

Sunrise, FL, United States (4E Sports) – Defenseman Dmitry Kulikov is returning to the Florida Panthers on a three-year deal reportedly for $13 million and a cap hit of $4.33 million.

The 23-year-old Russian was coming off his two-year bridge contract, which capped at $2.5 million.

Kulikov had eight goals and 19 points in 81 games last season The 14th pick in the 2009 NHL Draft, Kulikov totaled 24 goals and 99 points in 313 games and five seasons.

“”It’s time for him now to make a statement and be a leader on our team. He’s got all the ability in the world. It’s now just a matter of channeling it in the right direction,” said Panthers general manager Dale Tallon of Kulikov.
