Cleveland, OH, United States (4E Sports) – Free agent Mike Miller rejoined LeBron James with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the lesser two-year $5.5 million deal.
The Denver Nuggets tried to sign him for a three years and $12 million.
James persistence in recruiting Miller persuaded the latter to choose the Cavs over other suitors, which also include the Houston Rockets and the Dallas Mavericks.
The two were close friends while teammates at the Miami Heat for three seasons.
The 34-year-old Miller, who averaged 7.1 points per game this past season with the Memphis Grizzlies, is a career 41 percent 3-point shooter.
James is also recruiting former Heat teammate Ray Allen to join the Cavs.
