Cleveland, OH, United States (4E Sports) – The Cleveland Cavaliers added the league’s top 3-point shooter in forward James Jones, who shot 51.9 percent from beyond the arc last season.
Jones agreed to a one-year deal worth the veteran’s minimum of $1.4 million Wednesday.
The Cavs have now added two of the five best 3-point shooters from last season with earlier addition Mike Miller coming in fifth with 45.9 percent.
Both have good relationships with LeBron James.
Jones only played a total of 58 games the past two seasons, averaging 4.9 points in 20 games last season.
James often pushed for Jones to get more playing time because he appreciated his 3-point shooting ability.
The Cavs have also reached out to Ray Allen, another former James teammate.
