Washingyon, DC, United States (4E Sports) – The Washington Wizards acquired Kris Humphries to a sign-and-trade deal, offering the big man a three-year, $13 million contract.
The Wizards and the Boston Celtics are already finalizing the details of the agreement.
The ten-year-veteran averaged 8.4 points together with 5.9 rebounds while only playing 19.9 minutes per game last season with the Celtics.
Humphries showed his eagerness to play in the capital through Twitter after tweeting the address of Verizon Center, Wizards’ home court.
“601 F Street NW. #work,” Humphries posted.
According to Bleacher Report, the 29-year-old forward will be able to contribute big for the Wizards.
Humphries’ may be able to help the squad with his offensive game and defensive prowess inside the paint.
The Celtics were not expected to re-sign Humphries after last season and are likely to receive a trade exception as part of the sign-and-trade agreement with Washington.
