Indianaoplis, IN, United States (4E Sports) – The Butler Bulldogs announced Friday that forward Austin Etherington will be out at least 12-16 weeks after undergoing foot surgery.
The former Indiana Hoosier suffered the injury IN a summer workout according to the school.
Despite the news, Bulldogs coach Brandon Miller believes that Etherington will be able to make a full recovery.
Miller is also looking forward to the forward’s contributions once he returns.
“We’re looking forward to his return, and we’re excited about the contribution he’ll make to our program this season,” Miller added.
A torn ACL plagued Etherington’s sophomore season at Indiana as he played 30 games for the Hoosiers, averaging 2.0 points and 1.6 rebounds, before transferring to the Bulldogs.
The forward expects to return in the opening weeks of the season.
