Cleveland, OH, United States (4E Sports) – Minnesota Timberwolves forward-center, Kevin Love, is now being intrigued towards joining the Cleveland Cavaliers after 4-time MVP, LeBron James comes back to the franchise.
Love has been asking the Timberwolves to trade him given his pending free agency next summer.
According to ESPN’s Chris Broussard, the Cavaliers started the trade talks with the Timberwolves.
Included in the proposed deal are Dion Waiters, Anthony Bennett and a first round draft pick in exchange for Love.
But this deal will not be happening as the Timberwolves have their sigths set towards No. 1 overall pick, Andrew Wiggins.
The Cavaliers stated that the rookie from Kansas will stay in the team and will never be part of any deal.
Love who averaged 26.1 points, 12.5 rebounds, together with 4.4 assists last season, already expressed his dismay for missing the playoffs in six seasons with the Timberwolves.
“Burns me and hurts my heart,” Love shared in a June 11 appearance on ESPN’s SportsNation.
The former rebounding champion also made statements that he is willing to leave the team if they fail to cast a strong line-up that will back him up.
If ever the Cavaliers acquires Love, he will be joining stars LeBron James and Kyrie Earving in Ohio.
