Asdrubal Cabrera’s 3-run triple powers Indians past Yankees

Cleveland, OH, United States (4E Sports) – The Cleveland Indians had nine straight runs to beat the New York Yankees, 9-3 Thursday at Progressive Field.

Zelous Wheeler had a two-run homer in the fourth while Yangervis Solarte had an RBI single in the fifth to put the Yankees up 3-0.

In the seventh, Asdrubal Cabrera hit a three-run triple to tie the game before Michael Brantley hit a sacrifice fly that plated the former for a 4-3 Indians lead.

Roberto Perez and Carlos Santana hit two-run homers while Brantley had a single for the Indians in a five-run eighth to push their lead to 9-3.

Indians starter T.J. House gave up three runs and eight hits in 4 2/3 innings.

Carlos Carrasco (2-3) pitched a scoreless inning to help the Indians.

Meanwhile, the Yankees’ David Phelps was charged with two runs and seven hits over six-plus innings.
