Sharks sign Tommy Wingels to three-year deal

San Jose, CA, United States (4E Sports) – The San Jose Sharks have signed Tommy Wingels to a new three-year contract, the forward’s agent confirmed.

Agent Dan Plante said the 26-year old Wingels signed a contract worth $7.4 million, with an average cap hit of $2.47 million.

Wingels scored a career-high 16 goals and 38 points in 77 games and led the team with 218 hits.

General manager Doug Wilson said Wingels is expected to have a larger role next season after the team’s loss to the Los Angeles Kings.
