Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Cameron Diaz sizzles as she graces the cover of Esquire magazine’s August 2014 issue, and talks about her first ever nude scene in her upcoming film “Sex Tape.”
“It’s a first for me. But Jason [Segel] gets naked, too,” she told the magazine. “It’s just a part of the role. So I did it. I mean you see everything.”
“Sex Tape” follows married couple Jay and Annie, who, in an attempt to rekindle the fire in their marriage, decide to make a sex tape, only to have their lives shaken as the video gets lost after uploading it into the Cloud instead of a private location.
The 41-year-old Diaz expressed that her acting job is weird, having to go great lengths for a part, like in this film. Despite her two-decade career and appearing as a sex symbol, “Sex Tape” is her first foray into daring, skin-baring roles.
On one scene showing her in labor, she said, “I found myself in a room in the middle of nowhere Massachusetts at 11 at night doing a childbirth scene, and everybody’s screaming at one another—Jason, the cameramen, the director. And me acting like I’m trying to push a basketball out of my vajoon. Crazy s**t, right? And the thing is, I always take a moment to say, ‘We’re lucky. This is a great job. A fun job.’”
Meanwhile, the actress has openly shared that she is not keen on having a baby herself, as they are “so much work,” and that even though she likes “protecting people,” she was “never drawn to being a mother.”
“To have lives besides your own that you are responsible for—I didn’t take that on. That did make things easier for me,” she went on. “Not having a baby might really make things easier, but that doesn’t make it an easy decision.”
Directed by Jake Kasdan and written by Kate Angelo, “Sex Tape,” also starring Jason Segel, Rob Corddy and Ellie Kemper, is set for release in the United States on July 18.
