Houston, TX, United States (4E Sports) – Houston Texans linebacker Jadeveon Clowney played with sports hernia last season at South Carolina, revealed his agent Buss Cook.

Clowney underwent surgery for sports hernia two weeks ago that caused him to miss minicamp.

When asked about the injury earlier this month, Clowney insisted it wasn’t something he dealt with before arriving in Houston.

“Just when I got here, they wanted to check me out, and I told them there was a little pain,” Clowney said.

But Cook noted that Clowney felt he was dealing with groin injury when thought about not participating in his pro day.

Clowney passed all his physicals before the draft and the injury wasn’t noted until the organized team activities when Texans doctors diagnosed it.
