Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, Harry Connick, Jr. are all set to return as judges for the 14th season of American Idol, while Ryan Seacrest keeps his post as host, the show’s producers announced.
In a statement on Monday, American Idol creator and executive producer said, “I am thrilled our consummate host, Mr. Ryan Seacrest, is returning for Season 14, together with Jennifer, Harry and Keith. Their interaction, warmth and experience made them an absolute joy to watch. I can’t wait to see their evolution together continue next season.”
Meanwhile, fellow executive producer and FremantleMedia North America President for Entertainment Trish Kinane said she was delighted by their return and commented, “Their experience, humor and passion for new talent has made them one of IDOL’s strongest-ever judging panels, and coupled with the expertise and charisma of Ryan Seacrest, we are ready to get out there to find the best talent in America.”
Equally thrilled, 21st Century Fox Senior Executive Vice President David Hill added, “Each brings unique qualities and expertise to the team, but they all share the same passion for helping undiscovered singers achieve the American dream.”
Lopez has been a judge on the talent search since season 10, only taking a leave on season 12, while Urban has been on it for the third consecutive year. Connick, Jr. has been a judge since season 13.
