Marcus Stroman’s pitching, six-run second power Jays over Yanks

Toronto, ON, Canada (NewsBahn) – Marcus Stroman pitched eight innings of three-hit, one run ball and the Toronto Blue Jays racked up six runs in the second inning en route to blasting the New York Yankees 8-3 Monday night.

Adam Lind rocked a two-run homer and drove in four runs in all for the Jays.

Chase Whitley was knocked around for 11 hits and all eight runs on the hill in just 3.1 innings for the Yanks, falling to 3-1.

Mark Teixeira homered for the Tankees, who had just six hits.

The Jays improved to 43-35, while the Yanks dropped to 39-36.
