CLEARFIELD – Volunteers and guests of the Clearfield Center for Active Living are shown during a recent tour of the Thacik Rhododendron Garden in Curwensville.

Previous trips this year have included the Foxburg/Riverstone tour, the Washington/Cherry Blossom tour and the Harrisburg Farm Show.

The last tour of the year will feature the Johnstown Flood Museum and the Shanksville Flight 93 Memorial and will be Sept. 11. Motor coach accommodations will be provided.  This year is the 125th anniversary of the Johnstown flood and the 13th of 9/11.

The bus will depart Clearfield at 8 a.m. and tour the Johnstown Flood Museum before a lunch at Red Lobster, then continue on to Shanksville for a self-guided tour of the memorial.

Cost of the tours and transportation is $40. Lunch is at own expense. Deadline for reservation and payment is July 10.

Please call the Maggie Hegarty, volunteer tour coordinator, at 814-765-4001 to make a reservation.  Reservations are limited, and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
