Drew Hutchison’s solid pitching fuels Blue jays past Orioles

Baltimore, MD, United States (4E Sports) – Drew Hutchison allowed only six hits in seven scoreless innings to lead the Toronto Blue Jays over the Baltimore Orioles, 4-0 Friday at Camden yards.

The right-handed Hutchinson (5-4) struck out three, walked none and permitted only one runner past second base.

The Blue Jays went up 2-0 in the second inning on Juan Francisco’s two-run homer.

They scored twice more in the eighth off Tommy Hunter on a wild pitch and Jose Bautista’s RBI single.

Orioles starter Ubaldo Jimenez (2-8) allowed two runs and three hits in six innings.

Manny Machado had three hits for Orioles, but they stranded nine and went 1 for 11 with runners in scoring position.
